TYCA 15th Anniversary

On April 8, 2011, TYCA celebrated its fifteenth anniversary at the annual meeting of CCCC in Atlanta, Georgia.  Included in the archive file is the invitation letter from TYCA Chair Carolyn Calhoon-Dillahunt, as well as the PowerPoint presentation shown during the festivities.  At the end of the document may be find information about officer visits for 2011/2012.

TYCA Archive Update

At this point in time, the TYCA Archive has the complete set of documents that innagural TYCA Archivist Lois Powers collected over the years.  You may find the items listed in the menus, or you may search for below the blog post entries.

In the next stage of the archival process, I will be cleaning up the archive entries, and doing some more elaborate indexing on the posts.  I will also be collecting more contemporary documents.  In the spirit of that, I have created a post that represents the Internet Archive’s collection of TYCA web sites.

TYCA West First Annual Conference Program

TYCA West’s first annual conference was held on October 18-19, 1996 in Reno Nevada.  The innagural conference theme was “Negotiating English and Literacy in the Two-Year College.”  Back then, regional names weren’t quite settled, and TYCA West was often styled as TYCA-West (with great concern expressed over the hyphen) or Tyca/Western.
